Ceiling baffles & clouds

In tall rooms the ceiling is too far away to help. Suspended PET baffles put absorbent surface where the sound actually is, and they let services, daylight and structure stay visible.

Overview

Hanging baffles and clouds that take sound out of the vertical plane — and give double-height rooms a ceiling.

Baffles hang from cables or rails as vertical fins; clouds hang as horizontal panels. Both are cut from 12 mm PET, edged and finished to the same standard as our wall panels, and both can be printed or milled into patterns that read as architecture rather than as acoustic product.

Because PET is light — around 2 kg/m² at 12 mm — suspension loads stay low and existing soffits can often carry the system without new steel. Panels are supplied with adjustable cable kits, and can be arranged in rows, waves, circles or random clouds.

  • Low suspension load. Light PET panels reduce demands on the structure and on ceiling grids.
  • Two faces absorb. Vertical fins present absorbent faces to both sides of the room.
  • Services stay visible. Baffles leave ducts, sprinklers and lighting exposed and accessible.
  • Printed or milled. Patterns, wayfinding and graphics can be cut or printed into the panel.
  • Shapes beyond the rectangle. Triangular 1200 × 100 × 350, wing 623 × 400, cloud 915 × 792 × 140, and 12 engraved patterns.
  • Retrofit-friendly suspension. Cables anchor into the soffit or existing Unistrut; rails and direct fix also available.

Questions

Asked before specifying.

Can baffles be retrofitted?
Usually, yes. Cables anchor into the soffit or into existing Unistrut; we supply fixing details for your structural engineer.
Do they comply with ceiling fire requirements?
The panel is classified EN 13501-1 Class B. The complete suspension assembly must be assessed for the project; we provide the component data.
How are they cleaned?
Vacuum with a brush attachment. Panels can be removed individually for cleaning or replacement.
