Sustainability
A material that starts as waste and ends as material.
PET acoustics are only sustainable if the board is genuinely recycled, genuinely recyclable and documented well enough to count in an assessment. Here is what ours is, and what it is not.
Feedstock
Minimum 60% post-consumer PET — certified.
Bottles are collected, chipped, washed and re-extruded into fibre. That fibre is needled and thermally bonded into board. No virgin polyester is needed for the recycled content we declare, and the declaration is verified by SCS.
Because the board is a single material, offcuts and end-of-life panels can go back into the polyester recycling stream rather than to landfill — provided they are kept clean and free of other materials.
- ≥ 60% post-consumer recycled content, SCS certified
- Thermal bonding only — no added adhesives or formaldehyde
- Permanent flame retardancy built into the fibre before spinning — not a coating
- Mono-material construction; fabric-wrapped versions separable
Documentation
Third-party evidence, not a sustainability page.
Each claim below is supported by a certificate or a declaration that can be issued with your submittal.
Environmental Product Declaration
Life-cycle data for the board, prepared to EN 15804 — the document a BREEAM or LEED assessor will ask for.
Recycled content certification
Independent verification of the recycled content percentage, per colour and product family.
Gold low-emission certification
Tested for volatile organic compound emissions, including the stricter children-and-schools criteria.
Green building credits
Where the documentation counts.
We do not award credits — the assessor does. But these are the credits our documentation is routinely used to support, and the evidence we can supply for each.
| LEED v4.1 · MRc1 | Building life-cycle impact reduction — EPD and LCA data |
|---|---|
| LEED v4.1 · MRc3 | Building product disclosure — EPD, recycled content |
| LEED v4.1 · EQc2 | Low-emitting materials — GREENGUARD Gold |
| BREEAM · Mat 01 | Environmental impact of construction products — EPD |
| BREEAM · Mat 03 | Responsible sourcing — recycled content, ISO 14001 |
Credit eligibility depends on the project, the rating version and the assessor's interpretation.
End of life
Design for the second panel, not the first.
A mono-material board is only circular if it can be separated and reprocessed. That constrains how we build the products.
No laminates
Colour is dyed into the fibre rather than applied as a film, so the panel stays one material through its life.
Mechanical fixing
Clips, cables and frames are removable. When a panel is replaced, the fixing stays and the panel leaves clean.
Take-back on request
For larger projects we can discuss collection of offcuts and end-of-life panels for reprocessing. Ask at quotation stage.
